Dalam mengasuransikan stok barang, tertanggung mempunyai pilihan apakah akan mengasuransikan berdasarkan harga pertanggungan tetap atau berdasarkan stock declaration basis. Sehubungan dengan itu, jelaskan:

a) Tujuan Tertanggung mengasuransikan stok berdasarkan stock declaration basis

b) 3 (tiga) keuntungan dan 3 (tiga) kerugian bagi tertanggung bila mengasuransikan stoknya berdasarkan stock declaration basis

c) Bagaimana cara kerja klausul stock declaration basis dan berikan contoh perhitungan preminya

d) Bagaimana perhitungan preminya bila tertanggung hanya memberikan laporan deklarasi pada awal pertanggungan saja

Suggested answer:

a) Tujuan ‘stock declaration basis’ : Chapter 3A5A

Menghindari overinsurance à overpayment of premium

b) Keuntungan dan kerugian ‘stock declaration basis’ : Chapter 3A5A

Perhatikan jawaban c untuk lebih mudah menjawabnya

Keutungan:

1) Menghindari overinsurance à overpayment of premium

2) Provisional premium (hanya 75% saja, 25% sisanya dapat dimanfaatkan untuk keperluan yang lain (cadangan dana)

3) Terdapat pengembalian premi (maximum refund 1/3 x Provisional premium)

Kerugiannya

1) Administrative work à deklarasi bulanan

2) Jika deklarasi tidak dilakukan maka dianggap sebesar TSI

3) Average (under-insurance) tetap apply

4) Inflasi / stock tinggi pada masa “peak season” lebaran, holidays

5) Cancellation Polis oleh Tertanggung akan dikenakan short-period premium atau 50% dari provisional premium mana yang lebih besar

Cara kerja klausul ‘stock declaration basis’ : Chapter 3A5A

1) TSI adalah maximum jumlah stock di premises = maximum ganti rugi asuransi

2) Tertanggung wajib menyampaikan deklarasi bulanan

3) Jika deklarasi tidak dilakukan maka dianggap sebesar TSI

4) Provisional premium = 75% x Rate x TSI

5) Final premium = 100% x Rate x Average Amount of Declaration

6) Additional premium jika Final premium > Provisional premium

7) Refund premium jika Final premium < Provisional premium à maximum refund 1/3 x Provisional premium

8) Average (under-insurance) apply

9) Automatic reinstatement of sum insured (subject to additional premium)

10) Cancellation Polis oleh Tertanggung akan dikenakan short-period premium atau 50% dari provisional premium mana yang lebih besar

Bagaimana perhitungan preminya bila tertanggung hanya memberikan laporan deklarasi pada awal pertanggungan saja?

Jika suatu deklarasi tidak dibuat dalam waktu 30 hari seperti disebutkan di atas, maka Tertanggung harus dianggap telah memberitahukannya sebesar jumlah sama seperti nilai yang dipertanggungkan disini

Perhitungan premi ‘stock declaration basis’ : Chapter 3A5A halaman 3/24

Contoh:

Pertanggungan atas stock barang dagangan di gudang atas dasar “Stock Declaration Basis” sebesar $200,000

Rate: 0.15%

Provisional Premium : $200,000 x 0.15% x 75% = 75% x $300 = $225

Monthly Declaration sbb:

Pada Contoh A : Perusahaan A harus membayar tambahan premi sebesar $3.75 (additional premium) karena Final Premium yaitu 0.15% x Stock rata-rata bulanan $152,500 = $228.75 lebih besar dari Provisional Premium yang sudah ditagih $225.00

Pada Contoh B : Perusahaan B mendapatkan pengembalian premi sebesar $75.00 (refund premium) karena Final Premium yaitu 0.15% x Stock rata-rata bulanan $100,000 = $150.00 lebih kecil dari Provisional Premium yang sudah ditagih $225.00

Pada Contoh C : Perusahaan C hanya mendapatkan pengembalian premi sebesar $75.00 (refund premium) bukan $112.50 karena pengembalian premi tidak boleh melebihi 1/3 dari Provisional Premium

Bagaimana dengan Contoh D ? Berapa $ additional / refund premium-nya?

saya mau tanya perihal penghitungan stok declaration, misalnya ada polis jatuh tempo 4 des 2017, untuk menghitung apakah ada refund atau additional premi, stok yang dihitung mulai desembr 2016 sampai november 2017 atau sampai desember 2017? jika dihitung sampai desember 2017, apakah untuk perpanjangan tahun depan, bulan desember tahun ini dihitung lagi?
